I was a family doctor and Anaesthetist at WLMH and worked there with Dan for years. He was a gift to us and the local community, coming from Hamilton once a week to operate. Unlike many surgeons that I trained with in Medical school, he was kind, gentle and genuinely interested in his patients as people.
I have not met any of you, Linda, Catherine and Jeff, but I feel that I know you-Dan spoke of each of you often in the OR, always with love and pride.
I don't feel that a life is measured in years, but nevertheless am saddenned that he did not have more time with each of you after his retirement.
