Obituary of Terrence Devine

DEVINE, Terrence Raymond At home with his loving family by his side on Thursday, May 2 in his 72nd year, after a courageous struggle with cancer. Beloved husband for more than 48 years and best friend of Marilyn. Proud and loving father of Carol Devine/(Pat Stocking), Bill and Don Devine. Beloved grandfather of Nicole(David Stubbs), Tanya, Derek, Makayla and Rhiannon. Dear son-in-law of Louillen White. Survived by his sisters Jeannine Campbell, Phyllis (Jim) Ketchabaw, Kathleen (Lee) Ketchabaw and his brother Dan (Bonnie) Devine, his brothers-in-law David White and Ross Prong and his sister-in-law Linda Devine. He will be missed by numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and extended family and friends. Predeceased by his parents Raymond and Viola (Rodgers) Devine and his father-in-law Wilfred White, his sisters Patricia Gervais and Helen Prong, his brothers Mike and Philip Devine , his sister-in-law Linda White and brothers-in-law Laurent Gervais and Fred Campbell. Predeceased by his nephews David Brunette, David Devine, Sean and Todd Ketchabaw and his nieces Colleen Devine and Karen Gervais. Terry will be remembered for his service to his community,his province and his country. He was a proud member of the OPP, an active member of St. Christopher's Roman Catholic Church, Contact House, the Legion and a willing volunteer wherever needed. Visitation will be held at the FOREST CHAPEL OF DENNING FUNERAL DIRECTORS, 9 James Street South, Forest, Ontario, from 2:00pm-4:00pm & 7:00pm-9:00pm on Sunday, May 5, 2013. The Funeral Mass will be celebrated by Father Charles Gervais at St. Christopher's Church in Forest at 11:00am on Monday, May 6, 2013 with a reception to follow at the Forest Legion. Cremation to follow. Interment at a later date. In lieu of flowers, donations to St. Christopher's building fund, Contact House, Cancer Research, or charity of your choice would be appreciated by the family.
