To the Oliveira Family, I am saddened to learn of John's passing. He was a wonderful, friendly man who always had time to speak with me. I know you will miss him terribly, but are thankful for his long and prosperous life. I know that everyone who knew John will have fond memories of him!! Sincerely, Perry Willits.

To the Oliveira Family I and my wife are sorry to hear of the departure of our friend João Oliveira. For health reasons we can’t travel distance at this time. To me, João was always a man of good character, integrity, a loving & respectful person. Personal, I am honor to have known João. Words can never express the sadness I feel for the Oliveira and extended family. I came to know this family a decade ago and have been fortunate enough to develop a strong bond with them. It is evident everyday the strong values, morals and ethics that “Grandpa Oliveira” instilled in his family. I cherish the memories of seeing him interacting with my kids and treating them as if they were his own grandkids. They will forever remember him as their Grandpa Oliveira and I am truly sad that they will not be able to make more memories with him but at least solace is found in that they do have memories with him and had him in their life. As I wipe away tears thinking of his loss to family and friends, I replace those tears with a smile thinking of him sitting in his lawn chair watching from heaven his grandkids, his present and future great grandkids playing soccer and cheering them on. His lasting legacy will be the beautiful family he has created.
